Ceylan O.P. Organic

A black tea with a powerful, bright taste

A classic among plain teas, with regular leaves and a strong aroma. Ideal for breakfast in the morning. It can be served with a splash of milk or a slice of orange to release all its fullness.

The organic tea is grown in the UVA district in the Idulgashinna garden.

The Idulgashinna estate is located at an average altitude of 1,500 meters above sea level on the eastern slopes of Sri Lanka’s central mountains.

Harvesting/production only takes place from July to September. Processing is by the so-called orthodox method (drying and oxidation of the leaf, which can be folded but never broken). Initial drying takes 12 to 15 hours, oxidation up to 4 hours.

The plantation accommodates workers in nearby housing, including 180 detached houses with all basic amenities.
