Terms and conditions of sale

The French Tea Counter
Rue du Pont du Péage, 67118
Website: https://comptoir-francais-du-the.fr/

1. Scope

These general terms and conditions of sale apply to all sales made through our website https://comptoir-francais-du-the.fr/, between the French Tea Counter and the consumer wishing to benefit from our products. They define the terms of sale, ordering, payment, and delivery.
They describe all the steps necessary to purchase Products via the Website, from placing the order to the delivery of the Products.
These T&Cs apply to customers who are individuals, of legal age, with the capacity to contract and who qualify as consumers within the meaning of the introductory article of the consumer code (hereinafter referred to as the “Customer” or the “Customers”).
They apply to the exclusion of any other document.
It is specified that the Customer has the possibility to save these T&Cs in PDF format or print them.
The Seller reserves the right to adapt or modify these T&Cs at any time. In the event of modification, the T&Cs in force on the day of the order will apply to each order.
The last update date of the T&Cs is indicated under the title “General Terms and Conditions of Sale”.
They are written in French in their original version, which alone is binding and prevails over any other version.

2. Acceptance of the T&Cs

Placing an order on our Website requires full knowledge and acceptance of these T&Cs.
Therefore, before confirming any order, the Customer must read and accept the T&Cs by checking the box “I have read, downloaded, and accept the General Terms and Conditions of Sale” before confirming their order.
It is specified that, before this confirmation, the Customer has a mechanism allowing them to correct or modify their choices. This mechanism is accessible at each stage of the order entry process.
Any confirmation by the Customer of an order placed on the Website constitutes full acceptance of these T&Cs as well as the specific conditions of their order (items ordered as presented on the Website within the limits of any indicated quantities, name, price, components, etc.).
It is recalled that these T&Cs will be the only ones applicable to the sales contract, excluding any other document, including catalogs or commercial proposals issued by the Seller.
Any contrary condition stipulated by the Customer that contradicts the T&Cs will, unless expressly accepted by the Seller, be unenforceable against the Seller, regardless of when it may have been brought to their attention.
The fact that the Seller does not invoke any of these T&Cs at a given time cannot be interpreted as a waiver to subsequently invoke any of the said conditions.

3. Products

The products offered for sale are those described on the website. Each product is accompanied by a description provided by the supplier and non-contractual photographs. The essential characteristics of the products are presented on our website in each product sheet.

4. Pricing

The applicable prices are the prices in effect as indicated on our Website at the time of the order.
The sale prices of the Products marketed on the Website are expressed in euros.
They are displayed inclusive of all taxes but excluding shipping costs.
The prices take into account the applicable VAT. In the event of a change in the VAT rate, this modification will be immediately reflected in our prices.
The promotional offers indicated on the Website are valid only for the Products marked on the Website and within the limits of available stock. They cannot be combined with other offers or loyalty programs offered by the Seller.

5. Order and Payment

5.1 Payment

The order is validated once the payment is fully made by the customer. Payment is made through the methods offered on the website (credit card). An order confirmation and a PDF invoice are sent to the customer by email.

5.2 Customer Account for Payment

To place an online order on the Website, it is necessary to create a Customer Account.
To create an account, the Customer will be asked to provide their email address, first name, last name, and a password.
The Customer agrees to provide the Seller with accurate and complete information. It is their responsibility to update their information.
Upon creating their Customer Account, a confirmation email summarizing the provided information is sent to the Customer at the email address they previously provided.
Access to the Customer Account is protected by a personal and confidential password. This password must be kept secret and should not be shared with third parties.
In the event that the Customer becomes aware of fraudulent use of their account, they agree to immediately inform the Seller.

5.3 Order and Placing Orders

The Customer places their order from the Product catalog offered on the Website.
All orders are placed exclusively via this Website.

To place an online order, the Customer must:
• add one or more Products to their cart;
• log in with their email and password if they already have a Customer Account, or create a Customer Account;
• provide the billing and/or delivery address;
• choose the delivery method;
• choose the payment method.

The information provided by the Customer when placing the order is binding: in the event of an error in the recipient’s contact information, the Seller cannot be held responsible for the impossibility of delivering the Product.
Once these steps have been completed, the Customer can review the ordered Products, the total price of their order, and the conditions of their order.
If necessary, the Customer can modify or cancel this order before definitively validating it.
The order will only be definitively recorded upon the final validation of the order summary screen.
By this final validation, the Customer fully and unreservedly accepts the order and these T&Cs.
This validation constitutes the conclusion of a contract in electronic form.
The order is therefore considered irrevocable and can only be canceled in the limited cases provided for in these T&Cs.
The Customer is then invited to make payment using the selected method.

5.4 Order Confirmation

After the final validation of the order by the Customer and payment has been made, a confirmation email with a summary of the order is sent to the Customer.
The invoice for this purchase is then [sent to the Customer’s email address/made available on the Customer Account].
This confirmation email specifies the invoiced amount, the ordered Products, their quantity, the delivery methods, and includes a reference to these T&Cs.
This confirmation constitutes acceptance of the order by the Seller. The Customer agrees that the order registration systems serve as proof of purchase and its date.

6. Delivery

Delivery is made to the delivery address provided by the customer when placing the order. Delivery times are provided as an estimate and any delay in delivery cannot give rise to compensation, retention, or cancellation of the order by the buyer.
The risk is transferred to the Customer when they or a designated third party take physical possession of the Products.
Delivery of the Products takes into account preparation times and shipping time.
Orders are processed considering the working days of our workshop, Monday to Friday, excluding holidays, and the working days of our delivery partners, Monday to Saturday, excluding holidays.
The home delivery time depends on the partner chosen by the Customer when placing the order. These are average delivery times expressed in working days:

Comptoir Français du Thé catalogue

Over the past 40 years, Comptoir Français du Thé has established itself as a tea specialist serving gourmet shops.
Our ambition is to enable retailers to offer teas that are synonymous with travel and indulgence, while remaining affordable.

A collaboration based gustatory excellence

Comptoir Français du Thé has collaborated with the famous chef Nina MÉTAYER to offer tasty tea and infusion recipes.
These 4 drinks (3 teas and 1 herbal tea) are the perfect combination of fine pastry and fine teas, and boldly revisit the Tea Time experience. This collaborative project is above all a wonderful human adventure between a brilliant pastry chef and an inventive tea house.
A convergence of expertise, values and a beautiful complicity that is dedicated to inventing a “Tea and Pastry” moment that aims at gustatory excellence.

Recipes concocted in our atelier strasbourg workshop

Because the Tasse à la Française is also imagined and produced in France, these elegant creations are made in the Strasbourg workshop of Comptoir Français du Thé. Note after note, these two professions have joined forces to create a collection of shared recipes for sweet, timeless moments.

Taste the delicacy…

Named “Délicatesse”, these 4 creations have been created using original ingredients such as essential oils of Syracuse lemon or Yirgacheffe coffee from Ethiopia. The first recipe, called “Délicatesse Provençale”, is based on apricot and thyme IGP from Provence, and is intended to be enjoyed hot or cold.
